Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning professional for a data center project in Arlington, VA. You will lead commissioning activities, manage client and contractor coordination, and ensure adherence to budgeted man-hours while delivering thorough testing and documentation.

The role requires 8+ years of MEP commissioning, leadership of Tier 1/Tier 2 work, and travel up to 65%. Candidates with PE or field tech background and LEED/CIT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines.
• Willingness to travel to site locations as reasonably needed.
• Licensed PE or field technician with strong MEP systems knowledge.
• Strong computer and typing skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with design document organization and delivery of design & construction services.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities on the project, managing client relations.
• Adhere to budgeted man-hours and perform commissioning services.
• Coordinate with client/contractors for pre-functional checklists and tests.
• Support TMT and Data Commissioning Team for mechanical efforts.
• Lead daily commissioning meetings onsite and report progress.
• Update the Project Manager on progress, hurdles, and changes.
• Develop commissioning plans and schedules and deliverables.
• Travel up to 65% domestically as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
