Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with 6-8 years of mechanical engineering and commissioning experience to manage complex infrastructure and transportation projects.

You will lead commissioning activities for MTA/ NYC transit projects, coordinate with owners, contractors, and design teams, and prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation, test plans, and turnover packages.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of mechanical engineering and commissioning experience.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain; valid driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning activities for MTA projects from planning through final acceptance and closeout.
• Lead commissioning meetings and coordination meetings; prepare minutes and status reports.
• Coordinate and witness start-up, pre-functional inspections, and functional testing.
• Review contractor testing procedures for compliance and maintain deficiency logs.
• Prepare commissioning reports with recommendations for system readiness and acceptance.
