Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Level Commissioning Engineer to lead the mechanical commissioning program for AWS leased/owned data centers, partnering with senior engineers and external vendors to deliver high-quality results on time.

The role requires extensive experience in commissioning, program development, and cross-functional collaboration, including QC, FPT, IST, and cost- and schedule-mitigating measures. Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for mechanical systems and the commissioning program for AWS leased/owned data centers
• Lead and support AWS pre-construction and construction management teams for data center design and process improvement
• Lead and support AWS product teams and Principal Engineering for new data center design and product enhancements
• Lead and support reviews of design specifications, testing requirements, and test procedures
• Lead workshops to align on issues and data center designs while improving construction and commissioning
• Assist in development and delivery of technical training programs for commissioning teams
• Conduct quality assurance audits of commissioning processes and field execution
• Lead COE investigations, RCA, and preventive measures
• Participate in technical interviews for commissioning team members and contractors
