Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic to support the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group at the Poplar Island facility near Tilghman, MD. The role covers installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, pumps, boats, and vehicles.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus 5–9 years of relevant experience depending on rank, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Senior Mechanic requires five years of mechanical equipment experience.
• Lead Mechanic requires seven years of mechanical equipment experience.
• Senior Lead Mechanic requires nine years of mechanical equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, heavy equipment, pumps, boats, and vehicles.
• Overtime, evenings, weekends, and adverse weather may be required; travel to site by crew boat.
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct work of staff as applicable.
