Job summary

Romulusgov is seeking a skilled automotive mechanic in Romulus, MI to perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on a range of equipment from small engines to heavy duty vehicles.

Responsibilities include field service calls, engine tune-ups, and replacement of major components, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship. A valid Michigan license and Master Mechanic certifications are required, with a CDL A endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent with vocational tech courses.
• Experience: At least five years as automotive mechanic or equivalent.
• Licenses: Valid Operator’s license and Michigan CDL A endorsement; Master Mechanic Automobile certifications.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, rebuilds, and replaces engines, powertrain, hydraulics, steering, brakes, and electrical components.
• Installs on new or existing equipment for seasonal use (snow plows, wiring, hydraulics).
• Diagnoses malfunctions in light to heavy duty vehicles and performs engine tune-ups.
