Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to build a career with BISM, supporting our Nation’s military making military uniforms and other textile products.

What you will be doing:

1. Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
3. Perform various maintenance duties on facility.
4. Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
5. Maintain and secure work tools.
6. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
7. Make recommendations on repair/replacement of equipment.
8. Install new equipment.
9. Maintain a parts inventory for equipment.
10. Clean and maintain work area.

Qualifications:

• Manual dexterity required – will routinely stand, sit, lift, climb, etc.
• Must have strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics aptitude with good troubleshooting skills.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and will need to pass company sponsored forklift training course.
• Must be able to read and work from circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• General knowledge of construction trades i.e. carpentry, electricity, HVAC, plumbing with the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
