Job summary

Walmart in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Senior Meat Cutter to drive sales and ensure high quality meat products for our members. You will cut, slice, grind and wrap meat, maintain stock, and uphold food safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

You will collaborate with team members, use handheld devices to monitor production and inventory, and act as a leader in the meat department, modeling integrity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicating effectively and developing interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
• Be an Expert: Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations, providing meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications.
• Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology for production decisions and product quality.
• Be an Owner: Drives the business results, ensures profitability, maintains a clean work area, and assists members with purchasing decisions.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club, models high-quality service, and assists in training others.
