Job summary

Walmart in Farmington, NM is seeking a Senior Meat Cutter to drive sales and deliver quality meat products to our members. You will work with teammates to ensure shelves meet expectations and compliance with safety standards.

You will apply cutting, slicing, grinding and wrapping techniques, use handheld tools, and maintain cleanliness and inventory; you’ll help educate others and act with integrity while focusing on member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a fresh production department
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicating effectively and developing interpersonal skills for providing customer service, being flexible to the needs of the business, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
• Be an Expert: Maintains in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations, providing meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) while ensuring food safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
• Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement, using handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind.
• Be an Owner: Drives business results with operational excellence, profitability planning, maintaining a clean work area per policies, ensuring quality and standards for high-volume meat products, eliminating waste and assisting members with purchasing decisions.
