Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, build, test, and deploy reliable software components that deliver measurable business value. You will own significant modules, work with product teams, and drive quality through automated testing and CI/CD.

Hybrid schedule with 3 in-person days at core offices (Chicago, Quincy, Salisbury) and 2 remote days. Requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, Bachelor's or equivalent, strong API, data, and security

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience; MDM space preferred.
Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages; APIs/relational databases knowledge.
Experience with SDLC, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.

Responsibilities

Own design, development, testing, deployment, and support of significant software components.
Collaborate with product leaders, architects, and engineers to translate needs into technical specs and tests.
Build production-ready code, APIs, integrations, and automated tests that are secure and scalable.
Participate in solution design, reviews, and risk/impact assessments for IT initiatives.
Use Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD to automate builds, tests, and deployments; monitor health of apps.
