Job summary

Northern Trust seeks a Data Architect (IBM MDM) to architect, design, and develop MDM data management for a large enterprise. The role supports data governance across parties and remains aligned with enterprise strategy. Chicago IL or remote work options available.

You will lead data modeling, PME, survivorship rules, and integration tasks while coordinating with offshore teams as needed. Strong Java, SQL, Unix scripting and hands-on MDM experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and MDM
• Hands-on in IBM MDM Advanced/Standard Edition v11.x., v12.x
• Customization of IBM Physical MDM components
• Strong Java and SQL/PLSQL development
• Experience with PME and match iteration/tuning
• Familiarity with DSUI JSF-based applications
• Ability to coordinate with offshore teams

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop MDM data management solutions
• Provide a standard business vocabulary and align with enterprise strategy
• Lead data migration and data integration projects
• Establish data standards, lifecycle, ownership, and classification
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define advanced analytics solutions
