Job summary

Draper, an independent nonprofit R&D organization in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Systems Concepts Engineer (SMTS) to drive mission engineering, architecture design, and MBSE activities for complex systems. The role involves performance analysis, risk mitigation, and leadership of small teams in a multidisciplinary environment.

The position requires a BS in engineering/physics/mathematics (MS preferred) and 5–10 years of systems engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
• Masters degree or higher preferred.
• 5-10 years experience as systems engineer or related role.
• Applicants selected will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute system engineering lifecycle assignments.
• Adapt to changes in program priorities and requirements.
• Lead small teams (fewer than five people) and align team towards program goals.
• Provide design insights based on analysis outcomes and apply analysis techniques.
