Job summary

Draper is seeking a Senior Requirements Engineer to lead MBSE activities from system directives to verifiable requirements in the DREAM group. You will mentor teammates, drive process improvements, and ensure alignment with Draper’s priorities in national security programs.

Responsibilities include model-based systems engineering, SOA design, and development of Python tools for analysis, while guiding small teams and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related field.
• Experience with MBSE methods, SysML modeling and trade-space analyses.
• Proficient in Python scripting for data and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Derive detailed component requirements from system directives and maintain traceability.
• Create SysML models (e.g., MagicDraw) and conduct trade-space analyses.
• Lead SOA-related design, data workflows, and MBSE/CDM activities.
• Mentor small engineering teams and ensure quality across lifecycle stages.
• Identify risks, manage scope/cost, and communicate status to stakeholders.
