Job summary

Paycom - ATS, located in Detroit, MI, seeks an experienced Model Teacher to lead classroom instruction at U Prep Academy District. This role includes teacher leadership, PLC facilitation, mentoring apprentice teachers, and contributing to school improvement teams.

You will model lessons, co-teach, observe instruction, and share practice through peer observations and video discussions. A valid Math endorsement is required, with a proven track record of improving scholar learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of classroom experience
• Valid teaching certification with Math endorsement(s)
• Proven impact on scholar learning (e.g., NWEA or iReady growth)

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction for your grade/subject (Year 1+).
• Model and co-teach lessons; visit classrooms; engage in reflective discussion with teachers (Year 2+).
• Share instructional practice through peer observations and video recording.
• Provide mentorship and non-evaluative support (Year 3).
• Lead PLC meetings with collaborative planning and data analysis (Year 2+).
• Support curriculum review and adaptation.
• Provide high-quality resources and materials to teachers.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and share best practices.
• Participate in after-school and summer professional learning as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal
