Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to lead two critical teams responsible for local sourcing of service parts and reconciliation of PO invoices. You will drive supplier relationships, optimize material availability, and ensure financial controls in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, lean mindset, and collaboration with Procurement, Finance, and field operations to deliver service, cost, and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with 7+ years relevant experience.
• 5+ years in sourcing, purchasing, materials planning, or retail operations.
• 3+ years in people leadership or team management.
• Experience with operations, inventory, MRP/ERP, Lean/Operational Excellence.
• Familiar with retail network operations and local purchasing processes.
• Experience with PO, receipts, invoice reconciliation, GRNI, A/P, accounting, or finance processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in systems used for purchasing, planning, reporting, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Lean tools, KPI management, and standard work development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of two teams responsible for sourcing and purchasing locally purchased service parts and PO/receipt/invoice reconciliation.
• Lead the field purchasing team to procure local items in a timely, cost-conscious way balancing service, cost, and inventory.
• Manage the Materials Operations Analyst team to ensure timely processing of receipts and GRNI activities.
• Monitor KPIs such as quote turnaround time, service parts availability, and reconciliation cycle time.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, BOS, Retail Planning, PGT, and other functions to drive initiatives.
• Lead projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, service, and financial control.
• Ensure timely delivery of supplier quotes and locally purchased service parts to Stores.
• Oversee daily PO reconciliation activities and resolve issues within cycle times.
• Coach and develop team members through onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Set priorities, balance workloads and ensure strong execution in a fast-paced setting.
• Ensure adherence to standard work, processes, and internal controls.
• Act as Lean Champion to drive continuous improvement and process standardization.
• Support organizational initiatives and special projects as needed.
