Job summary

International Motors' Huntsville Powertrain Plant seeks a Sr. Materials Planner to anticipate needs, prevent shortages, and optimize flow across the supply chain, ensuring parts arrive on time for production.

You'll schedule material movement, partner with production, quality, engineering, procurement, and logistics, and monitor components throughout the cycle to support world-class powertrain manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of shop order planning and purchasing experience required.
• Master's degree with no experience acceptable.
• At least 3 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build proactive relationships with suppliers to ensure part availability.
• Own all MRP parameters for assigned part numbers, ensuring accuracy and optimal inventory levels.
• Interpret production demand signals and translate schedules into material needs across the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate engineering change timing for current-production products, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Collaborate daily with Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to resolve issues and keep materials flowing efficiently.

Education

Bachelor's degree + 1 year shop order planning and purchasing experience

Master's degree + no experience

At least 3 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
