Job summary

Advanced Energy, Wilmington, MA, seeks a Materials Planner to support NPI processes with Engineering, Supply Chain and Program Management. You will align material needs to meet project deliverables and update the Bill of Materials to accelerate R&D collaboration with Engineering.

The ideal candidate has a background in SAP and BOM management, plus 5+ years in Purchasing/Planning. A BS in a related field and APICS/CPM certification are preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Operations Management, Finance, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent education and/or experience
• APICS or CPM certification or other international certification preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors final approval of products through the PDP
• Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring material availability
• Manages on-time delivery goals by committed ship date
• Resolves capacity, material constraints and schedule interruptions
• Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists for material control and BOM management
• Manages and implements NPI ECOs
• Coordinates with engineering to maintain BOMs in SAP
• Manages release of parts to production
• Creates and maintains work orders and purchase requests
