Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Senior Material Manager to lead all project-level materials management activities. The role coordinates with Client/Partner, Engineers, Construction, Procurement, and Suppliers, reporting to the Procurement Operations Manager.

May supervise other Materials Managers at multiple locations. Responsibilities include implementing safety, policies, and program development; managing mobilization/demobilization; staffing and performance reviews; and overseeing data integrity

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of large/mega industrial construction Materials Management experience.
• Experience managing large teams and coordinating across multiple construction groups.
• Preferred background in material work packaging and detailed work planning.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety for Material Management personnel.
• Develop and enforce procurement and Materials Department policies.
• Lead project materials mobilization and demobilization efforts.
• Interview, hire and train staff for materials and data entry roles.
• Manage performance reviews and salary actions for field Materials staff.
• Oversee project logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
