Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Senior Materials Manager for our Westborough, MA site to lead end-to-end materials management and supply chain execution in a complex manufacturing operation. This onsite leadership role emphasizes people development, systems ownership, and enterprise-level decisions.

You will own the site materials strategy, optimize inventory, and drive cross-functional collaboration across planning, purchasing, warehouse, and production to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in materials management and supply chain in manufacturing.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle ERP, including planning parameters, MRP, and inventory controls.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own site-level materials strategy and execution including master planning, MRP, inventory optimization, warehousing, and material flow for manufacturing output.
• Lead and develop a high-performing materials organization with succession plans and leadership pipelines.
• Establish planning parameters in Oracle ERP to optimize inventory, turns, and working capital.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain for demand-capacity-supply alignment via S&OP/IBP.
• Drive continuous improvement using DBS tools to improve material availability, supplier performance, and risk reduction.
• Translate material availability and capacity constraints into data-driven options for site and network leadership.
• Ensure Quality and EHS compliance embedded in materials processes and objectives.

The Senior Materials Manager is responsible for end-to-end materials management and supply chain execution for a complex manufacturing operation. This role is a critical onsite leadership position with accountability for people development, systems ownership, and enterprise-level decision-making.

This position reports to Plant Manager, is part of the Operations & Supply Chain organization, located in Westborough, Massachusetts, and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Own site-level materials strategy and execution, including master planning, MRP, inventory optimization, warehousing, and production material flow to enable safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing output.
• Lead and develop a high-performing materials organization, building strong succession plans and leadership pipelines across planning, purchasing, warehouse, and materials execution functions.
• Drive robust and scalable planning discipline by establishing and maintaining effective planning parameters in Oracle ERP to optimize inventory, turns, and working capital.
• Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain to align demand, capacity, and supply through S&OP / IBP (Sales & Operation Planning / Integrated Business Planning) processes.
• Champion continuous improvement using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to improve material availability, supplier performance, takt alignment, and end-to-end flow while reducing variability and risk.
• Provide executive-level insights and recommendations by translating material availability, capacity constraints, and inventory risk into clear options, trade-offs, and data-driven scenarios that inform site and network leadership decisions.
• Ensure Quality and EHS compliance, embedding safety, quality, and regulatory expectations into all materials processes and team objectives.

Who you are:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of functional experience in materials management and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of leadership experience demonstrated people leadership managing and developing teams across planning, purchasing, and warehouse operations.
• Advanced working knowledge of Oracle ERP, including planning parameters, MRP, and inventory controls.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong command of planning, inventory optimization, and capacity alignment concepts tied to S&OP / IBP.
• Ability to translate data into objective risk assessments, business trade-offs, and strategic recommendations for senior leaders

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel occasionally to suppliers or other Cytiva manufacturing sites.
• Onsite role supporting a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Masters degree (MBA, Supply Chain, or Operations).
• APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or Lean / Six Sigma certification.

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $165,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
