Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a dynamic Materials and Logistics Manager to lead purchasing, inventory control, and distribution for the Tulsa location.

You will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, collaborate with QA and vendors to improve material quality, and ensure on-time manufacturing support. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), 8+ years in materials/logistics procurement, and 5+ years of supervisory experience, with D365 experience and DFARS/FARS know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or materials management required; MBA preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in materials and logistics procurement in manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with DFARS & FARS is required or preferred.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates purchasing, expediting, scheduling, shipping, receiving and inventory control to support manufacturing.
• Plan logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services for Tulsa operations.
• Maintain reports and organized inventory records.
• Develop and implement materials handling procedures to optimize resources and costs.
• Liaise with sales, production, and engineering to meet current and future material needs.
• Research and selects suppliers; develop vendor relations; negotiate terms.
• Work with QA and vendors to improve material quality and reduce defects.
• Review engineering changes for impact on materials and adjust as needed.
• Manage purchasing, inventory control, and production scheduling functions.
• Lead strategic procurement initiatives aligned with company.
