Job summary

LifeLens Technologies, Inc. in Ivyland, PA is hiring a Senior Materials Engineer to drive material development for SAC technology and manufacturing scale-up. You will research materials, characterize properties, and develop processes to support scale-up and validation.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in polymer science, chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years in material development for healthcare/medical devices.
• Experience with GMP, FDA, QSR and ISO13485 requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction in formulation and material development for manufacturing scale-up.
• Prototype formulations to meet mechanical, electrical, and physical properties.
• Observe manufacturing processes, collect data, and implement process improvements for throughput and quality.
• Define and document engineering specifications and process documentation used in manufacturing.
• Lead Materials and Processes technical engineering assignments.
• Troubleshoot problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Lead selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of materials & processes; prepare reports and specifications.
• Develop and drive FDA-compliant in-house manufacturing plans; identify suitable contract manufacturers for high volume.
• Ensure production aligns with GMP requirements and support business targets.
• Drive continuous improvement to enable scaling.
• Evaluate cGMP compliance via KPIs; work with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team.
• Other tasks as assigned.
