Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States (US-OH-TROY) is seeking an experienced metallurgical specialist to investigate materials and manufacturing challenges for wheels & brakes structures. You will lead failure analyses, develop material specs, and support supplier evaluations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Required STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years). Strong problem solving and collaboration across design, quality and manufacturing are

  • Leads metallurgical failure analysis involving cracking, fatigue, wear, and corrosion.
  • Develops or refines metallic material specifications and heat-treat process instructions.

What You Will Do:

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
