Job summary

Material Bank is seeking a Sr. Material Researcher to own the catalog experience across material categories. You will develop deep expertise, enrich data, and collaborate with Brand Partners to ensure complete and accurate catalog representations for how designers search and specify materials.

You will work across product data, Brand Partners, and designer research to identify opportunities to improve category experiences, including attributes, terminology, and taxonomy for better discovery.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of architectural materials and product specification.
• Experience with catalogs, PIM systems, taxonomy, or structured content.
• Ability to research with architects and designers and translate findings.

Responsibilities

• Own catalog experience for assigned material categories and deepen expertise.
• Enrich product data, identify gaps, and improve catalog completeness with partners.
• Build relationships with Brand Partners to better represent catalogs.
• Conduct research with architects and designers on search and specification.
• Analyze search behavior to improve discovery and filters.
• Shape data structure, attributes, vocabularies, taxonomy, and hierarchy.
• Lead catalog development and onboarding of new categories.
• Collaborate with Catalog, Product, Search, Brand teams to improve categories.
