Job summary

Turion Space seeks a Senior Material Handler to own day-to-day materials operations, including shipping/receiving, stockroom, and inventory management, in support of satellite production. The role involves mentoring junior staff, driving process improvements, and ensuring accuracy across the full materials workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to identify electronic components and handle materials per ESD/MSD procedures.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to support off hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirements; document and resolve discrepancies.
• Safely transport materials between warehouse, cleanroom, and production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and walker stackers.
• Execute inventory transactions in ERP systems; monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate kitting and staging activities to support production schedules; validate completeness and accuracy of materials prior to release.
• Lead or support cycle counts and physical inventory activities; ensure transactions are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and training to less experienced team members; support prioritization of workloads.
