Job summary

Bayer in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Sr. Material Handler at the O'Hara site. This mid-level role supports manufacturing via the physical and transactional movement of material, with a Monday–Thursday shift from 5:30 am to 3:50 pm and occasional Friday overtime.

Responsibilities include SAP transaction posting, material receiving and shipping, packaging finished goods, and driving process improvements. The position offers $17.50 per hour plus up to 5% annual bonus and a broad benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Ability to operate independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• SAP proficiency in daily transactions in one primary logistic function.

Responsibilities

• Advanced understanding of multiple warehouse and materials functions;
• Following of all documented processes and procedures;
• Physical transport of materials and timely and accurate completion for all required SAP transactions using appropriate PPE and material handling equipment;
• Finished product packaging using visual work instructions according to all regulatory requirements;
• Completion of all required transactional steps to receive and ship material;
• Identifying, defining and implementing process improvement or cost savings activities.
