Job summary

Brodart Co. in Williamsport, PA is seeking a full-time Laborer/Helper to support books production and material handling.

You will use RF handheld devices to pick books for customer orders, move materials on conveyors and book trucks, and stock inventory for future orders. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, can operate a pallet jack and forklift, read and follow instructions, and work safely in a production environment with variable temperatures, noise, and dust.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use pallet jack and forklift.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexible to make appropriate decisions regarding safety in handling materials and responsive to changing work environments.
• Ability to work/communicate effectively and adhere to company rules and standards.
• Must be able to work in a production environment with varied temperatures, noise, and dust.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts and lift 40–70 lbs.
• Position may include overtime based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Pick books for customer orders using RF handheld devices.
• Place books into appropriate containers for conveyor lines or book trucks.
• Stock and shelve inventory and scan materials; correct stocking errors.
• Enter order information into SCS and Oracle and process necessary labels.
• May capture images and re-process materials as required.
• Perform other duties as directed; overtime may be required.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas; assist with trash and sweeping.
• Cross-train and substitute tasks as needed by supervision.
