Job summary

Brodart Co. in Williamsport, PA is seeking 8 laborers/helpers to support production by unloading and preparing materials for processing and re-loading after tasks.

You will perform a variety of on-line duties including poketer, sizer, inserter, gluer, and biller roles, with overtime as needed; applicants must have a High School diploma and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Finger dexterity and ability to measure and read a ruler.
• Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions, accurately count and have good eyesight.
• Flexible to make appropriate decisions regarding safety in handling materials and respond to changing work environments.
• Ability to work/communicate effectively and respectfully with co-workers and to adhere to Brodart rules, policies and standards of conduct.
• Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise, dust and glue or adhesives.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hour shifts and possess the ability to frequently bend and lift 35 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally and push book trucks weighing several hundred pounds.
• This position is subject to scheduled overtime which may be required based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials in preparation for processing and re-load materials upon completion.
• Perform processing tasks along a production line as assigned (Pocketer, Sizer, Inserter, Gluer, Biller).
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas.
• Cross training and substitution of tasks as required by supervision.
