Job summary

Powell, a manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment, seeks a Senior Material Handler to manage materials, inventory and records across the designated shop area. You will stock, track and move materials, using scanners and potentially a forklift, while upholding safety and production standards.

Work schedule is Monday–Thursday 4:00am–2:30pm with overtime as needed; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in a material handling role within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Fluent in English and capable of communicating with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock and record keep materials.
• Communicate with staff to identify material needs.
• Fill workstations with appropriate hardware and material.
• Maintain records using a scanner or computer program.
• May operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Follow safety and manufacturing policies to ensure quality.
