LidWorks is seeking a dependable Senior Material Handler to support manufacturing and recycling operations in a fast-paced warehouse. The role emphasizes inventory control, production support, and sustainable material management.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work safely. Preferred experience includes warehouse duties, forklift operation, and familiarity with Syspro for inventory tracking.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Issue and receive box materials and packaging supplies.
  • Inspect containers and track inventory movement.
  • Maintain raw materials in a clean, organized warehouse.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts and reconcile inventory.
  • Monitor material usage and alert leadership to irregularities.
  • Stage materials for production and support daily production targets.
  • Track recycled materials and maintain separate storage areas.

Job description

LidWorks is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Senior Material Handler to support our manufacturing and recycling operations. This position plays an essential role in inventory control, production support, and sustainable material management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Issue and receive Gaylord boxes, corrugated boxes, pallet sheets, stretch film, tape, and bags
  • Inspect Gaylord containers before release to production
  • Generate and apply transactional labels to track inventory movement
  • Maintain raw materials in a clean, organized warehouse environment
  • Reconcile inventory counts regularly within Syspro
  • Perform monthly cycle counts
  • Monitor PET rolls and PET regrind inventory
  • Notify the Purchasing Manager when materials are low
Production Support
  • Stage raw materials and recyclables for daily production needs
  • Assign and prepare materials for the next 24 hours of production
  • Supply machines with the required raw materials to meet production targets
  • Monitor proper usage of regrind, colorants, and raw materials
  • Alert production leadership to any irregularities in material usage or equipment performance
Recycling & Sustainability
  • Regrind scrapped plastic sheets and clean discarded lids for reuse
  • Inspect recycled materials before receiving them into the warehouse and Syspro
  • Track and reconcile all recycled materials, including “06” scrap items
  • Maintain separate, organized storage areas for recycled Gaylords and PET materials
  • Keep scrap trailers clean and properly maintained
  • Maintain logs of recycled materials and notify relevant parties when loads are ready
Communication & Compliance
  • Complete all required paperwork for scrap tracking and accountability
  • Communicate regularly with the Materials Manager regarding inventory or quality concerns
  • Review company bulletin boards for official communications and meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
