Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Space Systems division seeks a Senior Master Scheduler II to lead planning and scheduling across high‑velocity programs in California. You will optimize the value chain, integrate data, and drive schedule discipline in a fast‑paced, technically focused environment.

The role requires deep expertise with MS Project/JIRA, ERP/MRP systems, SQL, and Power BI, plus U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of scheduling experience in a technical industry, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ total).
• Detailed knowledge of MS Project and JIRA.
• Ability to read technical documentation and understand complex hardware assembly sequences.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Basic experience writing SQL queries or building data visualizations (Power BI).
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for Rocket Lab Space Systems programs. Ensure vertical and horizontal integration across all program tiers.
• Ensure schedules are aligned with project objectives and resource availability. Identify potential bottlenecks and support mitigation strategies.
• Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain to gather data and reflect program signals with precision.
• Create and deliver schedule reports and dashboards; keep Program Managers informed of schedule performance and margin erosion.
• Create and maintain scheduling tools and processes (ERP/MRP, SQL, PowerBI) to improve reporting efficiency and quality.
• Provide clear priorities to production teams and manage push/pull signals to reduce lead times and meet delivery targets.
• Support root cause analysis for schedule slips and implement scalable Lean/Kaizen solutions.
