Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is searching for a Master Mechanic to lead advanced diagnostics, repair, and overhaul of bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, and other heavy equipment for maximum uptime and safety.

You will mentor junior mechanics, coordinate with field crews, maintain detailed records, and uphold OSHA and MSHA standards while supporting life-cycle planning and replacements as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• 3+ years in a senior or lead mechanic role.
• Manufacturer certifications strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 60-days depending on equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of heavy equipment systems.
• Lead major overhauls of engines, transmissions, final drives and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate, weld, and machine parts as needed for repairs.
• Maintain manuals, service bulletins and schematics; mentor junior staff.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
