Job summary

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is seeking a seasoned marketing professional in the United States to lead proposals, interviews, and marketing collateral development for transformative projects worldwide. You will conduct market research, shape pursuit strategy, and manage business plans while collaborating with senior leaders.

The role requires strong writing, design, and project management skills, with expertise in InDesign, Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and OpenAsset.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge/abilities.
• 5+ years marketing experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Strong writing and graphic design skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience working with senior leaders across a firm.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and OpenAsset is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads the preparation of proposals, including outlines, schedules and content development.
• Contributes to client interview strategy and creates marketing collateral for interviews and presentations.
• Collaborates with leadership and marketing teams to develop materials that reflect strategic marketing goals.
• Conducts market, lead, and potential client research.
• Develops pursuit strategy and market strategy; identifies competitive advantages for SOM.
• Engages with business plan creation and implementation within focus areas.
• References and contributes to Pursuit and Project objects; uses Salesforce to track business plan implementation.
