CBRE is seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist in California to drive the creation and project management of business development pursuits. You will collaborate across content teams, research properties and clients, and guide proposals to align with strategic goals.

This role sits within CBRE's General Marketing function, developing marketing programs across products and services, while ensuring deadlines, quality, and effective messaging through close partnership with brokers and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with RFPs and various proposal formats.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Broad knowledge of Marketing Research and related disciplines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

As a CBRE Sr Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation and project management of business development pursuits. This includes cross collaboration to gather and generate content, researching properties and clients, making recommendations for services and resources, keeping projects and teams on schedule, meeting deadlines and communicating with key business partners. This job is part of the General Marketing job function. They are responsible for the development and execution of marketing programs that support the organization’s products and services.

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for pursuit development, ensuring integrity of all content, project management, reviews, schedules, communication with cross functional business lines, writing executive summaries/proposal content and directing submission of the final proposal.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and prioritize projects; meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is comfortable enforcing timelines across internal resources.
  • Writes, develops, and edits proposal and presentation content, Request for Proposal responses, and other interactive marketing and pitch materials for new business development.
  • Performs quality assurance measures by reviewing and proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
  • Crafts creative messaging, themes, and key differentiators around the win strategies to tell a unique story in pursuit results.
  • Attends and actively contributes to kick-off strategy, status, follow-up/debrief, and presentation preparation meetings.
  • Works closely with graphic design team to develop client-specific design approaches. Acts as a liaison between brokers and designers to determine the appropriate branding and messaging for presentations/proposals
  • Create a wide variety of marketing materials for brokers and senior leadership, demonstrating the CBRE brand and style, as well as client presentations/proposals.
  • Make light design edits to existing materials as needed.
  • Proofread drafts and provide quality control on projects.
  • Interviews brokers, subject matter experts, and other team members across the organization to elicit the knowledge required to generate content.
  • Collaborate with others on our team. Build trust and great working relationships with our sales professionals, stakeholders and platform partners.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience with RFPs and various proposal formats.
  • Prior experience with data visualization tools.
  • Broad knowledge of Marketing Research and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong people and communication skills with a positive and inquisitive mindset.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in all deliverables.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate efficiency, speed, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

The minimum salary for the Senior Marketing Specialist position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Marketing Specialist position is $85,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
