Essential Functions

The Sr. Marketing Specialist is responsible for owning Summit 7's demand generation engine across all digital and campaign channels. This role leads the planning, execution, and reporting of marketing campaigns, paid media, and email workflows, while collaborating with creative, content, events, PR, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and measurable impact. The Sr. Marketing Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for all campaigns, ensuring that initiatives (events, PR releases, paid ads, etc.) are launched, tracked, and reported through the appropriate systems with ROI and lead attribution. They will drive conversion rate optimization and assist with user journey development to maximize the effectiveness of all lead generation efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Campaign Ownership & Lead Management
  • Act as the campaign owner, coordinating with internal teams to ensure all campaigns are created, executed, and tracked from start to finish.
  • Ensure all leads are captured and entered into the system and tied to the right campaigns and workflows.
  • Plan, launch, and manage all marketing campaigns, including post-event lead entry, workflow creation with the content/design team, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with creative, PR, and events teams to ensure all initiatives are tied to campaigns, including tracking custom URLs and lead sources.
  • Email, Workflows & Automation
  • Own email marketing campaigns and workflow execution (writing and sending emails, coordinating design/content, and setting up automation).
  • Help guide the content team on topics and formats most effective for driving leads.
  • Create and optimize user journeys with the content team to ensure conversion rates are maximized.
  • Paid Media & Digital Optimization
  • Own paid media strategy and execution, including vendor management, campaign management, optimization, and reporting.
  • Optimize the website for lead generation, including landing pages, calls to action, and overall user experience.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Manage campaign reporting, working closely with the data analytics team to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
  • Report on lead generation performance monthly and quarterly to leadership.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of B2B marketing experience, with proven success in lead generation, paid media, email marketing, and campaign management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage paid media campaigns end-to-end, including vendor relations, targeting, optimization, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization, website optimization, and user journey development.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating with creative, content, PR, events, and analytics teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present performance insights to leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Bonus: Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, defense contracting, or other regulated industries.

May occasionally need to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions.
