Job summary

HBC Engineering Company seeks a Marketing Proposal Specialist III to write and lead proposals and interview prep for its most strategic pursuits. You will collaborate with pursuit teams to develop win strategies, mentor junior staff, and support marketing and PR activities for the department.

The Senior-level role requires overseeing complex submissions, coordinating with technical staff, and guiding content quality across documents, with in-office presence at the Miami-area headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business (or equivalent) required.
• 5–8 years of relevant proposal or marketing experience; 10+ years if no degree.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat/InDesign.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with senior pursuit leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, write, and lead qualifications packages, proposals, and leave-behind materials for key strategic pursuits.
• Collaborate with technical staff and edit content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
• Develop pursuit strategies and conduct market research and industry intelligence.
• Lead interview/presentation phase; coach presenters and organize pursuit strategy meetings.
• Support client-facing teams by preparing materials for meetings and client interactions.
• Provide edits and feedback to junior staff to raise document quality.
• Ensure document quality control, compliance, and strong content across proposals.
