Compensation:
The Senior Marketing Manager position provides a base salary of $90,000-$100,000 per year based on level of previous experience. Health insurance and a 401(k) plan are also provided as well as stock compensation.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Marketing Manager focused on consumer growth. The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for building out Kingscrowd's marketing function as our first hire. In this role you will:
- Work with our CEO to develop the end objectives of our consumer marketing initiatives
- Develop our consumer free and paid customer acquisition strategy across social, email marketing, branding, SEO, PR, etc. to align with our objectives
- Coordinate with our head of content on developing email marketing funnels, promotional materials and any necessary creative for ads and PR communications.
- Create an outline and plan of necessary internal and external resources that may be needed both short and long term to build out our marketing strategy.
- Identify vendors and manage vendor relationships when needed but also be able to execute social campaigns, PR, etc. without outside resources as needed.
- Conceptualize and execute multi-channel campaigns across the free and paid customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
- Identify, analyze, and report on success metrics and quickly pivot based on results as it pertains to performance marketing initiatives including evolving lead gen creative and lead nurturing tactics.
- Partner with sales and relationship management teams to craft collateral that best position our various products to consumer and institutional clients.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management on how to create and achieve our growth objectives
- Work in partnership with the head of content to develop a holistic, overarching creative brief that captures what is compelling about kingscrowd to our core audience in order to provide direction to the content team to meet objectives for advertising and other public facing communications
- Provide marketing support for all events and webinars hosted throughout the year to meet our attendance goals and engagement
- Support primary business area efforts while also having the ability to flex effort, as needed
Preferred job qualifications include:
- 3-4 + years of successfully developing and driving consumer marketing initiatives
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently to advance projects and initiatives
- A self-starter who wants to lead and take the initiative to own the marketing function in both success and failure and can work autonomously with minimal direction
- A digital-first, data-driven approach, with the ability to analyze data & performance metrics and identify trends, insights, and areas of improvement to inform marketing strategy
- A strong communicator that can coordinate well with others across product, analyst, content, sales and more
- Experience with Facebook, LinkedIn and Google ppc and can execute campaigns independently if needed but can also suggest and coordinate with agencies as needed
- A creative spirit that is open to suggesting new ideas, initiative or improvements that go beyond the initial scope of our marketing efforts
- Function as the marketing SME (Subject Matter Expert) on cross functional teams; full understanding of how to consult on/shape business partner questions/hypotheses and advise on potential marketing efforts and develop a comprehensive digital-first marketing plan
- Knowledge of and experience in the investment or financial services sector is a plus
