Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Market Risk Python Cloud Engineer for a right-to-hire assignment with a premier financial services client in Jersey City, NJ.

You will operationalize pricing models on a massive compute grid across AWS and GCP, ensure accurate re-valuations across scenarios, and build the orchestration layer for millions of tasks. The role requires strong C++/Python, cloud expertise, and a background in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience designing and operating large-scale compute grids.
• Expert-level cloud experience (AWS or GCP) including batch processing, containers, and serverless.
• Deep containerization and orchestration expertise (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with distributed systems, performance tuning, and IaC.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize pricing models on a colossal grid.
• Re-value millions of trades against thousands of historical scenarios with speed and stability.
• Architect the distributed compute grid on AWS and GCP for pricing models.
• Design orchestration layer to distribute tasks across CPU/GPU cores.
• Deploy and version control a library of pricing models for distributed execution.
• Monitor and optimize cloud grid performance, cost, and resources.
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to integrate models into production.
• Engineer data logistics to ensure market data and configurations are available at runtime.
• Ensure pricing engine is highly available and meets recovery objectives.
