OpenAI is seeking a Market Research Lead, ChatGPT, to shape the Insights & Analytics strategy and lead multiple complex research workstreams. You will translate audience behavior and perceptions into recommendations that influence product, brand, and growth decisions.

As a senior individual contributor, you will set standards, build foundational frameworks, and mentor peers while partnering with analytics to deliver high-impact insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in mixed-method market research and data analysis.
• Track record of setting research strategy and independently leading complex workstreams.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous situations and in selecting appropriate methods.
• Hands-on expertise across the full research lifecycle: instrument design, sampling, weighting, analysis, reporting.
• Experience synthesizing evidence into recommendations influencing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set research strategy, priorities, and goals for a major business area.
• Lead multiple quantitative and qualitative research workstreams with rigor and speed.
• Partner with brand, product marketing, and other teams to inform strategy through insights.
• Translate findings into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
