Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Market Research Associate based out of our New York office. The candidate will be a key member of the team. This role will suit someone who is seeking to develop a career in a front-line relationship management/marketing role.
About the Team:
• Exposure to various aspects of both Investment Grade and Leveraged Finance businesses

How You’ll Make an Impact:
• The candidate will support the senior members of the US Corporate Finance BRM Team in managing and developing Fitch’s relationships both internally and externally
• The role requires a basic understanding of the debt capital markets and ratings business. Some exposure to corporate credit analysis is helpful
• The candidate will be responsible for research, development, and preparation of marketing materials under guidance from senior members of the team. Individual must be self-sufficient and adept at putting together PowerPoint presentations and working with Excel spreadsheets
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing quantitative models and databases
• The candidate will need to monitor fixed income market news, debt issuances, corporate refinancings, LBOs, and M&A activities, and to look out for Fitch rating opportunities

• You hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or economics
• You are a self-starter who understands objectives, works independently, and is highly motivated
• You have a demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate data, particularly through marketing materials
• You possess strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You are team-oriented and able to build effective relationships both externally and internally
• You maintain a high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
• You hold 2–4 years of relevant work experience; knowledge of CLOs or Structured Finance is a plus

FOR NEW YORK: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
