Job summary

Volga Partners seeks a Senior Market Research Analyst – International Development & AI to lead market research and evaluate opportunities for AI and data services in the development sector.

This role analyzes institutional demand across multilateral banks, government agencies, and international organizations, translating findings into strategic recommendations for market positioning and service development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Applied Economics, International Development, Public Policy, or a closely related quantitative social-science discipline, with training in statistics and research methods.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in applied economic research, institutional research, policy analysis, market research, or strategic market intelligence.
• Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research, including evaluating complex economic, socioeconomic, and institutional information.
• Proven ability to translate research findings into clear reports, actionable recommendations, and strategic business insights.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings to senior leadership.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with research methodologies, data analysis, and professional reporting tools.
• Ability to consistently work Central Time (CT) business hours, regardless of geographic location, to meet business coverage and collaboration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify research priorities and methodologies for international development market research.
• Develop structured market assessments that support prioritization of business development opportunities and resource allocation.
• Provide insights to support strategic planning, proposals, and market development initiatives.
• Translate complex economic and institutional information into practical recommendations for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate feasibility and commercial relevance of opportunities.
• Present research findings to leadership and maintain organized documentation.
