Position Summary
United Corporate Housing is seeking a Senior Market Manager to lead operations and performance in the DMV region. This role combines operational oversight, market strategy, revenue management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in temporary housing, a strong understanding of market dynamics, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a hands-on role that requires field presence, project management, and a commitment to going above and beyond for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the performance of the DMV market, including revenue, occupancy, and profitability.
- Participate in and help foster the company’s strategic planning and execution.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and positioning.
Operations & Quality Control
- Oversee unit readiness, inspections, maintenance, and vendor performance.
- Ensure all units meet United’s brand standards for cleanliness, furnishings, and guest experience.
- Manage field service reps and outsourced housekeeping partners to ensure timely turnovers and high-quality service.
- Drive within the DC metro area to conduct property visits, inspections, and in-field training.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Monitor lease terms, renewals, and rent roll accuracy.
- Audit utility and vendor expenses to ensure cost control and accuracy.
Client & Guest Experience
- Serve as the escalation point for guest issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Review guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with property partners and clients.
- Demonstrate a customer-first mindset and a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed expectations.
- Partner with the sales team to support client acquisition and retention.
- Analyze occupancy and pricing data to recommend rate adjustments.
- Identify upsell opportunities and implement revenue-enhancing strategies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing local team, including operations and guest services staff.
- Provide in-field coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement cross-training and succession planning to build team resilience.
Project Management
- Lead and support operational projects, including new unit setups, vendor transitions, and process improvements.
- Coordinate timelines, resources, and communication across departments to ensure successful execution.
Qualifications
Required
- Must reside in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) area.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate housing, relocation, hospitality, or real estate.
- Proven experience managing operations, budgets, and teams.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and revenue strategy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead in-field operations.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Preferred
- Experience with property management or reservation software.
- Background in sales or client relationship management.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field.
