Job summary

Stealth Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior deck professional to evaluate maritime training curricula and supporting documentation. Apply your sailing experience to assess whether courses prepare mariners for the responsibilities of their credentials.

This remote position requires an initial two-week onsite orientation in West Virginia and periodic travel for training, with coordination during Eastern Time hours from a remote location.

Qualifications

• Hold or have held a US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential endorsed as Master Unlimited Tonnage upon Oceans or Chief Mate Unlimited Tonnage upon Oceans.
• At least five years of sailing experience on the qualifying credential.
• Ability to evaluate deck training materials and clearly explain findings in writing.
• Willingness for an initial two-week onsite orientation in West Virginia and further onsite training as needed.
• Ability to coordinate during Eastern Time business hours and work remotely.
• Able to meet customer screening, facility access, information protection, and system access requirements.

• Resolve reviewer comments, maintain evaluation records, and meet established quality and workload expectations.

Required qualifications

• Hold or have held a U.S. Coast Guard-issued Merchant Mariner Credential endorsed as Master of Unlimited Tonnage upon Oceans or Chief Mate of Unlimited Tonnage upon Oceans.
• At least five years of experience sailing on the qualifying credential.

• Availability for an initial two-week onsite orientation in West Virginia and additional onsite training as required.
• Ability to coordinate during Eastern Time business hours and work effectively from a remote location.
• Ability to meet applicable customer screening, facility access, information protection, and system access requirements.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience writing, developing, teaching, or evaluating maritime training courses.
• Experience with curriculum assessment, training quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.

A current Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) certificate is not required. Candidates who previously held the qualifying credential are welcome.
