Job summary

Harkcon, Inc. seeks a Maritime Training Specialist to review foundational and deck-related training courses. This full-time remote position is within the United States and entails translating operational experience into curriculum evaluation and written feedback.

The role requires a Coast Guard credential endorsed as Master of Self-Propelled Vessels (≥100 GRT) and strong written communication, with an onsite orientation in West Virginia and ET-based coordination.

Qualifications

• Hold or have held a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential endorsed as Master of Self-Propelled Vessels (≥100 GRT) on Great Lakes/Inland Waters or superior routes.
• Ability to interpret maritime training requirements and assess instructional materials for completeness and consistency.
• Strong written communication, document review, and workload management skills.
• Availability for an initial two-week onsite orientation in West Virginia and additional onsite training as required.
• Ability to coordinate during Eastern Time business hours and work effectively from a remote location.
• Ability to meet customer screening, facility access, information protection, and system access requirements.

We are seeking a Maritme Professional to review foundational and deck-related training courses. This role suits a mariner who can translate operational experience into careful curriculum review and practical written feedback.

Location: This position is remote within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing or delivering maritime training, reviewing course materials, or assessing mariner competency.
• Familiarity with safety training, navigation instruction, or training quality assurance.
