Job summary

Armada Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for current or proposed maritime projects.

The role reports to the Estimating Manager, requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of maritime estimating experience, and is based in office, shipyard sites and customer facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience estimating in the maritime industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications.
• Reviews blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to formulate cost estimates.
• Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimates.
• Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.
• Reviews estimates as requested and analyzes established standards for cost reductions.
• Reviews and analyzes existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials; identifies cost-reduction opportunities.
• Prepares reports forecasting production scenarios; makes recommendations based on findings.
• Provides training/guidance to less experienced Estimators
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
