Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior maritime operations leader to oversee offshore vessel programs, manage a technical team, and ensure safe, compliant operations across assets used in aerospace recovery missions.

The role requires a BS in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of marine or aerospace experience, MMC, and USCG/ABS interfacing expertise. Travel 10–20% is expected. You will collaborate across facilities and work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Marine/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years marine or aerospace experience.
• MMC and interfaces with ABS/USCG.
• Experience with CFRs and US Coast Guard/ABS standards.
• Willingness to travel 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Support offshore operations and provide coverage for critical mission needs.
• Lead vessel engineers and crew to maintain asset availability and readiness.
• Oversee new vessel design, construction, and ongoing maintenance program.
• Create and manage operational budgets and resource plans.
• Interface with Port Authority and 3rd party vendors for scheduling and readiness.
• Coordinate vessel logistics and ensure safety and compliance across operations.
