Responsibilities
As a Senior Marine Engineer you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
- Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC & Refrigeration systems.
- Conduct HVAC&R trade studies, reviews and provide comments on new US Coast Guard acquisition cutter and boat HVAC&R system designs.
- Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages.
- Provide engineering support in the analysis of all HVAC&R related technical issues and design challenges.
- Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements.
- Conduct ship visits.
- Develop Engineering Changes of HVAC&R systems.
- Conduct mechanical engineering & psychrometric analysis.
- Research advanced engineering designs and/or applications.
- Prepare technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- At least 5+ years of experience in design, development, installation and operation of shipboard HVAC and/or Refrigeration systems and related equipment.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
