Solta Medical in Bothell, WA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer (Aesthetics Med Device) to lead test development across production, including planning, test software, fixtures, and validation.

You will collaborate with R&D on New Product Introduction, drive DFT/DFM, and work with the quality team and contract manufacturers to identify defects, analyze data, and improve test metrics.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing test engineering role.
• Experience designing and implementing test systems in a manufacturing context.
• Experience writing scripts or programs for manual and automated tests.

• Experience writing scripts or programs for manual and automated tests.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting circuit diagrams/schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.).
• Experience in medical device manufacturing a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical device FDA QSR's, ISO13485 and IEC-60601 requirements is a plus.

Desired Skills

• Visual Basic / C# .NET programming experience.
• SQL database experience.
• Using statistical software to conduct analysis such as measurement system analysis (MSA).

• Experience troubleshooting test equipment and processes.
• Experience improving production test output, cycle time, yield, and capabilities.
• Background in RF, Laser products, and/or diagnostic or therapeutic ultrasound.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and train production personnel.
• Strong PC skills required – Word, Excel, etc.

Language and Verbal Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering specifications, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, specifications, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to clearly and concisely convey project accomplishments, obstacles, issues, and status to project team members.

Math Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use MS Excel to perform calculations and interpret project results/data.

Analytical and Reading Skills

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read regulatory, technical and clinical literature and documents and extract important concepts.

Physical Requirements

Employee may be required to lift up to 30 pounds for short durations. Duties may involve standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. Duties also involve daily keyboard data entry. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment

The work environment is office and light manufacturing. The noise level is usually moderate, with some light machining and prototyping activities involving moderate dust or debris exposure.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $95,000 – $130,000. Actual starting pay depends on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, education, and location. Eligible for participation in an annual bonus program or a sales incentive plan.
