Job summary

Cypress HCM in Irvine, CA is seeking a senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and develop automated test platforms for medical devices. The role requires deep expertise in test equipment, DAQ, sensors, PLCs, and data analysis.

You will drive root-cause analysis and design of experiments to ensure robust qualification and commissioning. The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s preferred) and brings 5–8+ years of manufacturing test

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Advanced Python programming skills for test automation, data analysis, and equipment control.
• Strong experience leading in-house FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Extensive knowledge of test equipment and systems, including DAQ, sensors, PLCs, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills using 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and DOE.

• Extensive knowledge of test equipment and systems, including data acquisition (DAQ), sensors, PLCs, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills using methods such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and Design of Experiments (DOE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing custom automated equipment and test platforms.
• Strong data analysis and visualization skills using Python, SQL, and Pandas.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and digital manufacturing integration.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or another highly regulated industry.
• Technical leadership and systems thinking.
• Strong software and hardware integration expertise.
• Ownership of the full validation lifecycle, from FAT and SAT through IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across hardware and software systems.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into practical execution.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
