Job summary

Hyosung HICO Ltd. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift at our Memphis, TN facility. The role covers drying, oil processing, and related equipment operations and maintenance within a demanding oil processing environment.

Responsibilities include programming material movements, setting up purification and heating systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring strict quality and safety standards are met. Training and collaboration across manufacturing teams are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing technician duties for the drying, oil processing, dry air, and other processing equipment.
• Program and schedule to move liquid materials within tank farm and from tank farm to factory.
• Set up and operate oil purification, oil heating, and other oil handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems with materials/parts, prints, equipment or product and aid in corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of work to meet manufacturing and schedule requirements.
• Confirm quality criteria is properly inspected, verified and documented during manufacturing to ensure product meets specifications, tolerances, prints and customer orders.
• Assist with clarification and explanation of complex technical drawings, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, specifications and bills of materials.
• Follow and adhere to standard work procedures, sequence of operations and consistently meet manufacturing standards for quality and productivity.
• Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machines.
• Practice 6S and comply with all safety rules, guidelines and safe working practices.
• Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, motorized scissor lifts, work platforms, and air transporters.
• Assist in advanced training of new employees including improving individual skills and assisting in training materials.
• Actively assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.
• Understand and work under the direction of the appropriate Hyosung HICO policy and/or procedure.
• Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and discuss their importance in work.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

· Perform any of the Processing Technician duties and functions along with the following for the drying, oil processing, dry air, and other processing equipment:

· Perform programming and scheduling to move liquid materials within tank farm and from tank farm to factory.

· Perform setup and operation of oil purification, oil heating, and other oil handling equipment.

· May determine operation sequences and methods where specifications are imprecise or vague.

· Troubleshoot problems with material/parts, prints, equipment or product & aid in the implementation of corrective actions.

· Assist in the preparation of work to meet manufacturing and schedule requirements.

· Confirm quality criteria is properly inspected, verified and documented during manufacturing to ensure product meets specifications, tolerances, prints and customers order requirements, Identify and correct defects appropriately.

· Assist with clarification and explanation of complex technical drawings, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, specifications and bills of materials.

· Follow and adhere to standard work procedures, sequence of operations and consistently meet manufacturing standards for quality and productivity.

· Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machines.
