Job summary

  • Compile statistical reports for each system during Final Test.
  • Analyze discrepancy data to provide corrective action.
  • Identify and propose improvements to existing test methods and collaborate with Engineering on new product methodologies.
  • Perform disposition of non-conforming product discovered in quality audits.

Overview

Veeco is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Technician for Final Test in Horsham, PA. The primary responsibility is to test newly manufactured or refurbished systems and subsystems on the test floor. Tasks include configuration setup, calibration, mechanical fit, system communications, software configuration, and subsystem qualification. The role also involves collecting and managing manufacturing test data for Acceptance Testing (ATL), setting up verification audits, troubleshooting testing discrepancies, reporting issues, and collaborating with Assembly, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve complex issues. The position reports on tested system status at the daily Gemba and requires managing disassembly and packaging for shipping equipment to customers.

Shift: 2nd shift, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment as part of a multidisciplinary team, multitasking and prioritizing critical projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret highly technical documents such as schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, and maintenance procedures.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, able to speak with clarity and interact with customers, management, and peers.
  • Skilled at identifying and resolving recurring problems and submitting corrective action plans.
  • Interpersonal skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, and operations management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and drive tasks to completion.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required to meet company revenue goals.
  • Requires frequent position changes during the shift, including standing, sitting, and bending.
  • Occasional ladder use and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to fit and integrate all tubing connections (stainless steel Swagelok and Flare Tek TFE fittings) according to plumbing schematics.
Salary And Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $49,692—$72,881, plus a bonus opportunity. Salary is determined by location, experience, and other relevant factors.
