Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Goleta, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to assemble and test high-volume products. You will ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards, document procedures, and support engineering on new products.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies, reading drawings, soldering, and ES D handling. Strong documentation, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 8 - 10 years of experience with mechanical and/or electronics assembly.
• Education: High School degree or equivalent is required. Basic math skills are required, and the candidate must be able to read, write and speak English and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all company policies and procedures; maintains a safe working environment and participates in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs.
• Reports safety, quality and equipment issues immediately.
• Follows and completes assembly history records to ensure correct fit and traceability.
• Performs tests and records data using test stands and equipment.
• Interprets drawings and specs to inspect, assemble and test products; updates documentation as needed.
• Works with Lean Manufacturing to meet production schedules and maintain a clean area.
• Identifies improvements to safety, quality and efficiency and supports implementing changes.
• Builds and sets up new work cells and test setups with specialized tools.
• Performs troubleshooting and rework to meet specifications; supports engineering with data.
• Conducts ESS testing and environmental testing to validate product quality.
• Collaborates with engineering to develop procedures and control manufacturing processes.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production and testing equipment.
• Trains multiple technicians on product builds.
